A-Team's Hannibal Auditions for Ruff the Bear on 'Uncle Buckle-Up'

Hannibal No Longer Gets Horror Monster Roles

With George Peppard, Dirk Benedict, and Dwight Schultz, Mr. T, and Hannibal, the cast of the A-Team was well-known in 1985. But Hannibal, who was known for his horror monster roles, was looking for a change. When Sydney the chipmunk-dressed presenter of the TV show Uncle Buckle-Up held auditions for the role of Ruff the Bear, Hannibal was excited to try out.

Hannibal didn't get the part, but he was still excited to be a part of the show. He joined the cast of Uncle Buckle-Up for the 1985 episode, "The Doctor Is Out." In the episode, Hannibal played a doctor who was trying to help a patient who was afraid of the dark. Hannibal's character used his knowledge of horror movies to help the patient overcome his fear.

Hannibal's appearance on Uncle Buckle-Up was a reminder that he was more than just a horror movie actor. He was also a talented comedic actor who could bring a lot of laughs to a role.
